We treat Britain's parks as preventative health infrastructure.
Neighbourhood Health Parks is a small community interest company doing one stubborn thing: putting registered clinicians into local parks, every week, for free, so that movement, connection and clinical guidance happen before a GP appointment is needed.
Our mission
Shift health out of the waiting room.
The NHS spends roughly nine out of every ten pounds treating illness that has already arrived. We believe the cheapest, kindest medicine for most adults — gentle movement, daylight, a sense of belonging — is already growing in the park five minutes from their front door.
NHP exists to make that medicine programmable, safe, and bookable. We don't replace the NHS; we sit one step upstream of it. A walk leader in a hi-vis vest, a physiotherapist on a bench, a friend you didn't know you had: that's the prescription.
What we believe
Four principles, no exceptions.
Prevention first
We move people before they become patients. Every session is built around the evidence base for falls prevention, cardiometabolic risk and loneliness.
Park, not clinic
Outdoors is the treatment room. Daylight, soil, trees and neighbours are the active ingredients — not equipment we have to maintain.
Everyone, free
No referral, no postcode lottery, no paywall. If you can reach the park, the park is yours.
Clinically safe
Sessions are designed and supervised by registered physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and mental health practitioners.
